Shihan Brian Lee Sumpter
Shihan Brian Sumpter's martial arts career began at the age of 7 when he
started training in Jujitsu. Soon after he began his training in Shotokan Karate
and was ranked 3rd in the heavy weight division for full contact karate in 1992 in the state of
WV. Later he has focused his training mainly on Kodokan Judo / Jujitsu and obtained
master level in Jujitsu.
Recently he has been training in the art of Budo Taijutsu / Ninjutsu which he
currently holds 2nd dan and the title of Shidoshi-Ho.
Shihan Sumpter now serves the SMAA as Kyoju Dairi, representing the SMAA
in West Virginia.

Kodokan Jujitsu – 7th Dan
Kodokan Judo – 5th Dan
Shotokan Karate – 5th Dan
Budo Taijutsu – 2nd Dan
