Sensei Roger Davis
Sensei Roger Davis began his martial arts training in 1982. A
highly capable technician of exceptional skill, as well as a bit of a martial
arts scholar, Sensei Davis is one of very few people promoted to high dan in
Jujutsu by SMAA Executive Director, Sensei Donn Schucker. He was promoted to the
rank of 6th degree black belt in Jujutsu in 2008, and also holds the rank of 5th
degree black belt in Taiho Jutsu, and 4th degree black belt in Karate. Sensei
Davis also has an extensive background in executive protection (body guard) and
security services, which has strongly influenced his “no nonsense” approach to
the martial arts.
Sensei Davis has taught self-defense for police officers,
and has developed and implemented several outstanding programs tailored to
students with various needs and expectations. Some of Sensei’s successful
programs include specialized training for male students, female students, or
children. Sensei also has a tremendous amount of experience training security
and law enforcement personnel in the Kenosha and Milwaukee, Wisconsin areas. An
instructor at the inaugural Training Camp for our great association, Sensei
Davis readily demonstrates the best of both the traditional and the contemporary
martial arts, and serves the SMAA as Kyoju Dairi for the Wisconsin area. Sensei
is the director and founder of the Martial Science Technical Institute in
Milwaukee.
