SMAA
Yudansha Taigu
The term "Yudansha Taigu"
was first used as a special judo rank after WWII and was awarded to
General Curtis LeMay of the USAF's Strategic Air Command. The rank
denotes one whose council and input is deemed so valuable that they are
given this exceptional status and are entitled to speak freely and
openly regarding any and all administrative matters.
SMAA
Yudansha Taigu (international senior leaders and instructors of the
martial arts) are authorized to make
promotions,
instructor and
rank examiner
certifications, and
other certifications,
etc. as they see fit within the association.
All
appointments are for the period of one year and each Yudansha Taigu
will officially assume their position on May 1 of each year, which is
the anniversary of the SMAA. These Senior Leaders may at any time
oversee or become involved as necessary in the operations of our
subordinates and are encouraged to do the so if they feel their input
could lead to a more satisfactory result with regard to a given
project, evaluation, event, etc.
These appointments are
based on the past actions of the individual appointees, as all future
appointments will be. Those who distinguish themselves through their
actions and commitment to the martial arts and the SMAA will be among
the highest leaders in the martial arts. Those who fail to perform as
required will be replaced.
